Welcome to our August Blog Hop!
This blog hop is one big circle, so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork. Just keep clicking the link in each post to go to the next page. The page just before me is Miss Carrie’s Creations, so if you are coming from there, you are on the right track! From here you’ll visit Darlys Recker‘s page.
Each month, this group shares with you a different technique featuring Close To My Heart products. This month 16 of us are showcasing how to incorporate the use of different types of bling (sparkle & shine) into your paper crafting projects.
This month I will be showing you a card that I created for one of my monthly card groups. The ladies asked for some sympathy cards and this will be one of three they’ll be making. I know that it’s hard to tell in the photo but this card has sparkle AND shine! Before inking the background, I embossed the sailboat with white pigment ink and white embossing powder to really get it to shine. It makes a nice contrast against the matte finish of the inking. For the sparkle, I added some Sapphire ink to one of my clear shimmer pens and then splattered.
