Welcome to the May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!
On the first of each month, several of us CTMH consultants come together and share projects that we have created using the newest Stamp of the Month. This is a great way to show the versatility of the stamp set and get ideas from consultants all over.
This month, we will be featuring “To My Bestie” which is Close To My Heart’s May 2019 Stamp of the Month. This stamp set is loaded with 19 amazing stamps (you can see below), so there is something for almost any type of project.
With a minimum $50 CTMH product purchase you can add it to your order for $6. Great deal, right?! To read more about this Canadian special, please check out my shopping site here.
This blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you arrived here from Haley Dyer’s blog, you are on the right track! If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.
Now on with the show!
You can see below, the card that I created using this wonderful stamp set. I wanted to keep it fairly simple, as I was intrigued by an idea that I saw in the Make It From Your Heart Vol. 4 “how to” book. If you check out Pattern 8, on page 21, the bottom card has the background stamped at an angle, alternating with cardstock. I love it! Since our stamp set this month has a border stamp, I thought this would be a terrific idea! I first adhered the strips of patterned paper (which are zip strips from the Zoe collection) to a piece of White Daisy cardstock that was cut to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. Then, using Intense Black ink, I stamped the scalloped border to the left of each strip. It was so easy and I love how it turned out! The blue cord is our brand new Sapphire Crochet Thread, which I added before adhering the cardstock to the card base. The layered piece of Zoe patterned paper was attached to another piece of White Daisy cardstock cut to 3 1/8″ x 4 3/8″. The “ladies” were stamped with Intense Black ink, coloured using our Shin Han markers and then fussy cut before they were popped up. I coloured the Bitty Sparkles with a blue marker, just to add a bit more of a “pop”. You can see that I added another of the stamp set’s sentiments to the inside of the card, along with a row of the stemmed flower, all stamped with Intense Black.
If you love this stamp set as much as I do, you will want to be sure you purchase it soon, as it is only available until May 31, 2019!
