Now on to our hop! As this is a circular hop, if you’ve just hopped onto my blog, then you are starting in Alberta and will work your way out to B.C., then loop back to the East Coast. However, if you want to follow us across Canada, then you can start at the beginning by clicking here to go to Michelle’s page in Nova Scotia. If you came from Jessica’s page then you are in the right place!
Today, we are creating with Close To My Heart’s “Sweet Girl” collection, which is the first collection in the brand new Seasonal Expressions 2 Idea Book and catalogue! You can find the collection beginning on page 17.
This month, I am showing you a 2-page layout that I created using the Make It From Your Heart Vol. 3, Pattern 10. I’ve had these photos for quite a while and this seemed like a perfect time to get them into a scrapbook! The soft pinks and grey tones made it perfect for a little girl’s birthday photos. As with last month’s layout, I did not do any stamping, and because of the soft colours and subtle patterns I was able to use all patterned paper. No cardstock required! I did have to go searching for another pink zip strip, which I found in our new Mix-In Paper Pack. So perfect! The two pieces of patterned paper/sentiment to the right of the pics on the right side of the layout came from the Sweet Girl pocket cards. Adding some Silver Glitter Gems was the perfect touch, and believe it or not, the sentiments, hearts and button are all from the Craft On Rubber Shapes!
Even though I did not do any stamping for this project, the Sweet Girl collection includes some beautiful stamp sets. You can see the scrapbooking set here, and the cardmaking set here, on my shopping site:

For more inspiration, please join us again next month when we will be featuring more artwork from the Seasonal Expressions 2 using the “True Love” collection. Mark your calendars for June 10th so you can hop along with us again.
Until next time!
