We hope that you will take the time to leave comments on our posts, as we love to get feedback from our viewers….whether it was something that you really liked or some new technique that was used that you would like to learn …. by leaving us comments, we get to hear what you like, and what you want to see. Thank you.

Now on to our hop! As this is a circular hop, if you’ve just hopped onto my blog, then you are starting in Alberta and will work your way out to B.C., then loop back to the East Coast. However, if you want to follow us across Canada, then you can start at the beginning by clicking here to go to Michelle’s page in Nova Scotia. If you came from Janet’s page then you are in the right place!

Today, we are creating with Close To My Heart’s “Yesterday & Today” collection, which is the first collection in the March/April 2020 Supplemental Idea Book and catalogue! You can find the collection beginning on page 2.

Again this month, I am showing you three 2-page layouts that I created using CTMH’s “Yesterday & Today” collection. These layouts will be recreated by my club members. When I first saw this paper I was stunned by how beautiful it was. Then I started working with it and found it difficult. What??😲 Yup. I think because there were no bright colours that made it harder to assemble into cohesive groups. So I went ahead and found a couple of colours that added just the amount of zing that I needed! Of course, I went straight to our “Love of Color” How-To book, and found what I needed! Even though Sangria is not in the book (it’s a newer colour), I was able to use a similar colour to find what I was looking for. The other two colours are New England Ivy & Peach. Can you spot where I added those colours?

I love using Flip Flaps and with all of the hinges and clips in the foil die-cuts, it was a perfect opportunity to do that! I started by heat embossing on the black with Versamark and clear embossing powder. I love how it turned out!! Just a touch of green with the vellum die-cuts. I left the left flip flap blank so that journaling can be added.

I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to make use of one of the beautiful doilies in the CTMH Cricut Artbooking collection. Finally my wait is over!! Just a touch of Earth Brown marker on the vellum die cuts made this layout come alive.

Did you notice the 6 x 12″ flip flaps? I don’t usually photograph my layouts in the page protectors, but these flip flaps have to be adhered to the page protector on the outside.

The final layout really reminds me of a bygone era.
