This Short Story process is one of my all-time favorites because of what it can do for your creative confidence. Each step is designed to help you make decisions from a place of intuition. When you work quickly and trust your inner designer, you will have more mental energy to ponder on the story depicted in your pictures. Asking key questions up front will prepare you to write a more meaningful story in the end. I know you’ll be surprised and delighted with your results.

Each Short Story workshop kit includes:
1 – 6″ × 6″ album
10 – 6″ × 6″ Memory Protectors™
12 – patterned paper sheets; 6″ × 6″
20 – White Daisy cardstock sheets; 6″ × 6″
4 – sticker and die-cut sheets; 6″ × 6″
1 – Black & White Dots
1 – white twine; 1 yd.
1 – black & white gingham ribbon; 3 yds.
1 – Short Story workbook

Get Prepared:

1. Choose a subject for your album. It can be any person, place, thing, or event that you would like to document with a story.
2. Gather 25 to 35 4 x 6″ photos of your subject. These photos will illustrate the story of your album. As you gather photos, keep in mind that you will crop these photos into a variety of sizes to use in your album. Sizes could range from 2 x 2″ to 3 x 6″ (but DON’T do any cropping yet!)

Supplies Needed:

• photo trimmer (or equivalent)
• black journaling pen
• scissors
• adhesives (dimensionals, glue dots, tape runner, liquid glue)
• Notepaper/pen
