10:00 am to 9:00 pm

Holy Trinity Anglican Church

18 Hidden Creek Road NW

Calgary, AB

To make it even more exciting, while we are spending the day together having a creative time, we will be helping some of our favourite people right here in Calgary: THE KIDS!

While you are Cropping Your Heart Out, you will be helping to raise awareness and funds for CALGARY READS. I recently learned about this very worthwhile, non-profit organization, right here in Calgary. and knew I needed to help in some way.

Calgary Reads brings together people, schools, community partners and business to make reading a priority. They have grown from offering one tutor program to now having over 18 programs and initiatives that work in schools and communities to support children and their families. But there are still so many children not reading!!

The first thing you need to know is space is limited, so don’t wait to register! As an added incentive, I’ve decided to sweeten the pot a little. There will be an early bird draw for a prize valued at no less than $25. If you register by 8:00 pm on March 20th, your name will be entered for this special draw!

Snacks, lunch and supper will be included. As well as coffee, tea and bottled water. We will be using round tables, and there will be a limit of three people per table.

I will make available my tools and supplies, including my Cricut Expression (please bring your own blades and mats) and Cuttlebug. I will also have a garage sale table set up, where I will be selling used and retired product, mostly Close To My Heart, at greatly reduced prices. A small amount of stock and essential items will be available for sale as well.

As well as your goodie bag, there will be prizes and gifts given out throughout the evening. In addition, each participant will have their name entered into a draw for the door prize, which will be drawn at the end of the evening.

There will be a paper swap table, so feel free to bring the paper that you have been hanging onto for a while, and swap it out for something fresh!

There will be some fun activities throughout the evening, like “Who’s got the monkey?”, as well as two make-and-takes. Both make-and-takes will feature the latest and greatest in the world of Close To My Heart. One will be a layout, the other will be a card.

The cost for this amazing fun-filled day? Just $50!! And through the generosity of the community, at least half of your registration fee will be going directly to Calgary Reads! How great is that???!!  You can pay using PayPal (button below or above) or electronic e transfer to [email protected]  Your payment through PayPal secures your spot immediately.  If you are paying by e transfer, your spot is confirmed once you have received my confirmation email.
