Greetings to all on this beautiful, sunny Sunday!
My first ever Crop Your Heart Out! event was a big success. We were a small group (11 of us altogether), but a wonderful day was had by all. We ate, we talked, we sang, we laughed, we scrap booked!
Most importantly, we raised $540.00 for Calgary Reads!!!!!
This would not have been possible without the support and efforts of:
Holy Trinity Anglican Church – donating the use of the hall
Stephen Kapsha – husband and team mate, who collected outside donations, listened to ideas, hauled boxes and totes (a number of times) and assisted with set up and clean up.
Chris Dumont – friend and team mate, who listened to ideas, made sure I didn’t forget anything, shopped for, prepared and served all of the meals, assisted with set up and clean up.
Janica Fisher, Director of Engagement for Calgary Reads, who took time out of her weekend to come and talk to all of us.
And finally, to those ladies that took a chance on my first crop event and showed up!!
It was a lot of work, but it really paid off. AND I REALLY HAD A LOT OF FUN DOING IT!!!
Until next time,
