This beautiful and feminine Kaleidoscope Collection really made me think of little girls and babies. I haven’t done a mini-album in a while, and I have been wanting to try the 8 x 6″ Baby Mini-Album in the Cricut Artbooking cartridge. So here it is!!
All cuts, including titles and except the tags, come from Artbooking. The majority are from pages 50-51, the Baby Mini-Album. A few from throughout the rest of the book. The tags are from Artistry. I used Liquid Glass on the first divider “Baby”.
The overlays make it so easy to “take it up a notch”! All of the colours behind the overlay are scraps and zip strips from the paper collection.
Two pockets: both cut from the cartridge. The one on the left is the Photo Mat 2 from page 50, and the one on the right is one of the small overlays. Both work great!
More overlay on the left. I randomly backed some of the spaces with more scraps and some white Shimmer Trim. On the right page is the same overlay, just turned 90 degrees. The little lion is stamped with Saffron on Daisy White and then fussy cut. I outlined the face with my fine black journalling pen to make it stand out more.
The right page is the first large envelope, cut directly from Artbooking. I cut part of it again with a piece from the Kaleidoscope pack and used that to cover the flap.
Here is the envelope open. You can see how much stuff you could fit in there!
On the left you can see the back of the envelope with room for a 3 x 3″ photo. On the right, I used a page from the Snapshots Mini Album to get the pocket at the bottom.
On the left I added a half-circle mat from the Love Mini Album.
On the left, I used a piece of Gypsy from the Fundamentals Adventure pack for the photo mat. That little bit of shine really makes it pop! The lion is cut from the Baby Mini Album.
The little pocket on the left is cut from the Baby Mini Album and adhered with double-sided tape. On the right is the second large envelope, cut from a piece of pattern paper this time and then bordered with another cut and a strip from the Zoe Complements.
And here they are open.
The overlay on the left is one I had left over from a previous project. Page 47 in Artbooking. The photo strip on the right is cut from the Springtime Layout on Page 63 of Artbooking.
The pocket on the right is another one cut from the Baby Mini Album and adhered with double-sided tape. I wanted to attach this one vertically, so I covered up the holes with brads and washi tape!
And here’s a look at the selection of ribbons I used on the binder rings to finish the book off. I didn’t waste anything in this paper pack. I even made use of all of the zip strips. The only thing I have left is just a few small pieces!!
